Cherry
Wood (Northern hardwoods for supreme quality and durability.)
Cherry is a reliable hardwood of medium-high density with a fine, uniform, straight-grain pattern. Unfinished, the color is a reddish brown with occasional veins of creamy brown. When used for building cabinetry, the finished product will typically include occasional pin knots, small dark spots (pitch pockets) and/or dark mineral streaks. The most notable characteristic of Cherry is that the finished product will darken with age, providing a rich, luxurious appearance that cannot be duplicated. Exposure to sunlight will accelerate this aging process.
